Who Decides What in Hotline Money: Rules and Choices in India and Asia
Every Hotline Money casino round mixes two kinds of decisions. Some are taken by the game before the agent fires a single shot, and others stay with the player from the first stake to the final WITHDRAW. Knowing which is which explains most of the game in a few minutes.
The title comes from 100HP Gaming, was launched on 1 October 2026 and is now open to players in India and Asia. Seen along that line, the game falls into three parts: what the rules fix, what the player controls, and which habits turn those controls into a plan for Hotline Money play.

Two Layers of Every Hotline Money Round
The basic parameters fall neatly into two groups. One group is fixed by the game for everyone, while the other is adjusted by each player before or during a round.

| Exit point | The player | WITHDRAW after any win or an Auto Collect step |
| Automation and speed | The player | AUTOBET and TURBO |

The tools around these choices include a multiplier scale, Live / My / Top statistics and an online player counter. Six strategies are described for the game as well: early cashout, a high-multiplier hunt, automation, a flat stake, a fixed path principle and limits. The Hotline Money demo with 10,000 FUN credits is also the player's call: it opens without a login and needs no real stake.
The story is the same for everyone. A special agent fights through floors held by armed opponents, and the rules name the goal as cracking the safe and rescuing the hostage. There are 30 enemies on the route, a crosshair counter at the top of the field moves from 0/30, opponents, weapons and interiors change as the mission goes on, and a final boss waits at the end.
What the Game Settles Before BET
The most important decision in a round is made before it starts. The result is generated at random in advance and does not depend on the player, and the sequence of safe enemies is created on the game servers.
That sequence is not hidden for good. Hotline Money runs on provably fair technology, and any finished round can be checked in six steps.
- The outcome of every enemy encounter is fixed before the round.
- The servers show the sequence of safe enemies only as an encrypted Hash.
- When the round ends, the Hash goes into the history together with the Salt.
- The shield icon in the round results (Check result) opens the data, and the shields in the bet history and on the leaderboard lead to it as well.
- The Salt is copied from the Round information window.
- The data is pasted into the Verification service window and confirmed with Check.
The Hash can also be tested in Fairness Check or with any online calculator, and a Provably Fair protected mark is displayed under the Live Bets panel. The 94% RTP belongs to the same fixed layer: over a long distance players get back 94% of stakes on average, while one short session can end well above or below that level.
Limits No Player Can Move
Two boundaries apply to everyone in Hotline Money casino rounds. Stakes run from USD 0.10 to USD 150 on EASY and HARD alike, and no round pays more than USD 10,000, whatever multiplier was reached.
Both limits are listed under Game limits in the ⚙ menu. The ceiling matters most on HARD: a USD 1 stake that reaches the 29th enemy at x10466.71 would be worth USD 10,466.71, and the 30th at x53380.23 would be worth USD 53,380.23, yet each of them pays USD 10,000.
Choices Made Before Each Round
Three settings belong to the player before BET is pressed. The stake comes first, entered with - and + or with the quick-bet buttons 1, 2, 5 and 10, and the minus button stays inactive at the minimum stake.
The mode comes second. According to the rules, a higher risk level gives larger multipliers and a higher probability of defeat, which is the whole difference between EASY and HARD. With a USD 2 stake, stake × multiplier and the USD 10,000 ceiling turn the confirmed values from the Autobet window into concrete payouts.
| Enemy | EASY | HARD | USD 2 on EASY | USD 2 on HARD |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | x1.02 | x1.06 | USD 2.04 | USD 2.12 |
| 2 | x1.11 | x1.21 | USD 2.22 | USD 2.42 |
| 3 | x1.21 | x1.39 | USD 2.42 | USD 2.78 |
| 7 | x1.79 | x2.54 | USD 3.58 | USD 5.08 |
| 15 | x4.91 | x11.90 | USD 9.82 | USD 23.80 |
| 29 | x554.12 | x10466.71 | USD 1,108.24 | USD 10,000 (capped from USD 20,933.42) |
| 30 | x1989.30 | x53380.23 | USD 3,978.60 | USD 10,000 (capped from USD 106,760.46) |
EASY has one more confirmed value: x5.76 at the 16th enemy. At USD 2, every confirmed EASY step stays below the ceiling, while the last two HARD steps already pass it. The third choice, the exit point, can be fixed in advance for Autobet or left for each round, where WITHDRAW decides it.
Choices Inside a Round
Once BET is pressed, the player's role shrinks to three buttons: A, B and WITHDRAW. A round follows the same order every time.
- Two dotted paths appear, yellow A and blue B, with the multiplier for the current enemy above.
- The player taps A or B.
- A correct path defeats the enemy, the multiplier grows and the counter moves on, for example from 0/30 to 1/30.
- A wrong path wounds the hero and ends the round without a payout.
- After each victory, the next multiplier is visible above A and B, and the player either attacks again or presses WITHDRAW, which shows the amount in USD.
The payout always equals stake × multiplier at the moment of collection. The path choice feels like the key decision, yet the outcome behind each path was settled before BET, so the real lever in Hotline Money play is the moment of collection. The Hotline Money demo is a calm place to get used to this order before real stakes.
Choices Handed Over to Autobet
In Hotline Money casino rounds, AUTOBET, called Auto Play in the rules, lets the player make all exit decisions once and then repeat them. Its window holds five controls: the player sets the step, the number of rounds and the stake, reads the Cashout Coef. and then launches the series.
- Auto Collect step: a slider from 0 to 30 with enemy icons above it, setting where the win is taken.
- Cashout Coef.: the multiplier for that step, for example x1.79 on EASY and x2.54 on HARD at step 7, or x1989.30 and x53380.23 at step 30.
- Number of rounds: typed in or chosen with 5, 10, 50 or ∞.
- Bet amount: set with - and + or a quick-bet button.
- START AUTOBET: launches the series.
From that point the game takes over within those settings. They repeat until the round count is reached or Auto Play is stopped, the win is collected automatically at the chosen step, and a defeat before it means Auto Collect does not trigger and the round pays nothing. The enemy on each step is chosen at random, and stopping Auto Play mid-round pauses the game on the current step, so the player can collect or continue by hand.
The rules do not include a full chart for all 30 steps, which makes the Cashout Coef. field the quickest way to look up any multiplier. TURBO, the button under AUTOBET, is the second speed control: with it, the hero appears next to the enemy instantly.
Habits the Player Adds
None of the six strategies can change a result of Hotline Money play, because results are fixed before the round. What they change is how the player's choices are made: each one turns a setting into a fixed rule.
A Short Ladder Climb on EASY
This is the safest of the six. The player chooses EASY, presses WITHDRAW after one to three enemies while the multiplier is between x1.02 and x1.21, and does not continue for the next multiplier once the target is reached. Early collection keeps the swings of the bankroll within narrow limits.
A Long Wait on HARD
This aggressive approach is built for players who accept frequent losses for the sake of rare large payouts. It combines HARD and its x53380.23 maximum with the USD 0.10 minimum stake, an exit enemy fixed before each round, for example the 7th at x2.54 or the 15th at x11.90, and readiness for long runs of losing rounds, since higher risk means a higher probability of defeat. With USD 1 per round, the 29th enemy already exceeds the USD 10,000 ceiling, and larger stakes reach it even sooner.
Autobet at an Early Step
This approach removes emotional decisions from inside the round. The player sets an early Auto Collect step, steps 1 to 3 on EASY for x1.02 to x1.21 or step 7 for x1.79, checks the Cashout Coef., limits the series to 5 or 10 rounds with ∞ reserved for sessions with a loss limit, keeps a fixed stake and stops Auto Play when needed, after which the round waits on its step. A defeat before the chosen step still leaves that round unpaid.
The Same Amount Each Time
This is a conservative method for long play. The stake is fixed at 2-5% of the bankroll, stays the same whatever the results, the exit enemy is chosen in advance and always used, and the session has a limit on the number of rounds. The quick-bet buttons 1, 2, 5 and 10 repeat the amount without typing.
A Path Rule Written in Advance
This tactic suits players who tend to pick a path by feeling. The rule is always A, always B or alternation, it is kept in every round of the session, and past rounds are not searched for patterns. No principle guarantees a win, because safe enemies are set on the server before the round, but a fixed rule prevents impulsive picks, and the result can be checked through Provably Fair afterwards.
Win and Loss Lines Before the Start
This is the key approach for long-term play without large losses. A win limit, for example +50% to the starting bankroll, and a loss limit, for example -30% of it, are set before the session, and reaching either one ends it. The method also includes no change from EASY to HARD after a losing streak and pauses between sessions, which matters because the next multiplier above A and B makes one more attack tempting after every win.
Technical Cases Outside the Player's Control
Some events are decided neither by the player nor by the round itself. For Hotline Money casino rounds, the rules describe two of them.
If a bet is lost because of internet connection problems, the operator is not responsible, so a stable connection is a safeguard worth checking before playing. If there is a hardware or software malfunction, all affected bets and payouts are voided, and the players concerned receive a full refund of their stakes within 1 hour.
Information the Screen Gives Back
During Hotline Money play, the interface reports the result of every choice, and its bottom panel changes when a round begins. The top panel shows the current balance, a sound on/off button and the ⚙ menu button, while the game field carries the crosshair counter (0/30), paths A and B with the multiplier above the enemy, and the AUTOBET and TURBO buttons on the right.
Before a round, the bottom panel offers the EASY / HARD switch with the top multiplier of each mode, the stake field with - and + and quick-bet buttons, and BET. During a round, it shows the multiplier scale with the current and next steps and a ⌄ arrow, WITHDRAW with the amount in USD, and the A and B buttons. The ⚙ menu holds Music, Sound, Rules of the game, Provably Fair and Game limits.
Under the field, the Live Bets panel adds three tabs. Live lists other players' bets in real time with name and stake in USD, multiplier and win in USD, plus the number of players online, My keeps the history of personal bets and withdrawals, and Top shows other players' wins by amount and multiplier over different time periods.
The Demo Before Real Choices
The Hotline Money demo gives 10,000 FUN credits and does not require an account login. It is a way to get to know the game, the rhythm of A and B decisions and a comfortable moment for WITHDRAW before any real money is involved.
Real stakes start at USD 0.10 and are capped at USD 150 per round, with a USD 10,000 maximum payout. A short practice session on FUN credits makes those numbers easier to work with later.
Personal Limits Beyond the Game Rules
Hotline Money sets its own limits, and the player's own limits matter just as much. Gambling is a form of leisure, not a way to earn money, losses are not chased, only money that can be lost without harm goes into a session, and time and spending are kept under control.
Support is available at, and, which offers a 20-question self-assessment.
FAQ
Who decides which enemy is safe?
The game does. The sequence of safe enemies is generated on the servers before the round starts and does not depend on the player's actions. The player only chooses path A or B, and after the round the result can be checked with the Hash, the Salt and the Verification service window.
Can a bigger stake raise the USD 10,000 ceiling?
No. The ceiling is the same for every stake and every mode, and no round pays more than USD 10,000. A larger stake only means that the ceiling is reached earlier: at USD 2 on HARD, the 29th enemy would already be worth USD 20,933.42, yet the payout stays at USD 10,000.
What does the first quick-bet button show at a USD 1 stake?
When a stake of USD 1 is selected, the first of the quick-bet buttons 1 / 2 / 5 / 10 shows .1 in its place. The stake itself is still set with - and + or with these buttons, anywhere between the USD 0.10 minimum and the USD 150 maximum, with the same limits on EASY and HARD.
Which settings stay fixed during an Autobet series?
The Auto Collect step, the number of rounds and the bet amount repeat in every round until the series ends or Auto Play is stopped. Only the enemy on each step changes, since it is chosen at random, and a defeat before the chosen step leaves that round without a payout.
Where can the rules of Hotline Money be read?
The ⚙ menu at the top of the screen contains Rules of the game. The same menu also holds a description of Provably Fair and the order of checking, Game limits with the minimum and maximum stake and the maximum payout, and separate switches for music and sound.
